Legacy Scholarships are now available for Jackson County students graduating in June 2008. Scholarship awards and their continuation are dependent on the sufficiency of available funding.

To what can the Legacy funds be applied?

Legacy funds may be applied to tuition, fees and books at Jackson Community College, Baker College, Spring Arbor University or the Jackson Area Manufacturers’ Academy (when in partnership with an accredited institution).

Qualifying Years of Attendance

The scholarship amount will be prorated based on the applicants length of enrollment in a qualifying school.

What requirements must students fulfill to remain eligible for the Legacy scholarship?

How will scholarships be distributed?

The $3,000 scholarships will be paid directly to the institution where the student is enrolled. The Legacy Scholarship is considered "last dollar". Any unused funds will be returned to the program for further distribution.
